Buku ini membahas hubungan antara kepemimpinan populis dan kebijakan luar negeri anti-imigrasi melalui kajian terhadap kepemimpinan Viktor Orbán di Hungaria. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Leadership Trait Analysis (LTA) dari Margaret G. Hermann, buku ini menganalisis bagaimana kepribadian, pola pikir, motivasi, serta gaya kepemimpinan Orbán memengaruhi kebijakan anti-imigrasi yang diterapkan pemerintah Hungaria. Kajian dilakukan melalui analisis isi kuantitatif terhadap berbagai wawancara dan pernyataan publik Orbán selama periode 2014–2020. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa karakter kepemimpinan, seperti tingkat kepercayaan diri, kompleksitas konseptual, fokus terhadap tugas, dan cara memandang kelompok luar, memiliki pengaruh penting dalam membentuk kebijakan luar negeri dan respons terhadap isu imigrasi. Buku ini menegaskan bahwa kebijakan negara tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal dan institusi politik, tetapi juga oleh karakter personal pemimpinnya.
